It is with great pleasure that we issue this invitation for you to join us in Helsinki for the 7th European Congress on Epileptology from the 2nd 6th July 2006.

<*dv_5*>The Scientific Advisory Committee has begun the task of constructing a comprehensive programme, which will have something to offer to those working in all fields of epilepsy and from all areas of Europe.

This congress looks set to build on the successes of previous European Congresses on Epileptology and expand further the reach of these meetings, thereby facilitating greater communication and exchange of ideas amongst researchers and clinicians working across the continent.

In addition to the scientific activities, the Organising Committee is planning a series of social events, which will give delegates a chance to experience the rich culture of Helsinki; its music, its abundant natural beauty, its clean lines and immaculately designed architecture and of course, the unique wonder of the long mid-summer days and short nights.
